The R&D team of BIŌNTE has developed a complete range of cost-effective mycotoxin binders to reduce their impact on animal production.
Mycotoxins are a worldwide challenge in animal production that affect animal welfare and performance. The complete elimination of mycotoxins in raw materials and feed is impossible. For this reason, producers focus on adding mycotoxin binders to feed to minimize the effects of these substances on the health of the animals.
The R&D team of BIŌNTE has developed a complete range of cost-effective mycotoxin binders to reduce their impact on animal production production.
An appropriate mycotoxin binder should be effective against the most dangerous mycotoxins and fast-acting, in order to minimize their effects. Additionally, a relevant mycotoxins binder should be selective; the product does not bind essential nutrients nutrients for the animals such as vitamins or amino acids.
Objective:
The project aims to develop a next-generation portfolio of anti-mycotoxin solutions for animal nutrition based on adsorption, bioprotection, and biotransformation mechanisms. In addition, the efficacy of these formulations in mitigating the detrimental effects of mycotoxin exposure on animal health and productive performance is evaluated, using a science-based approach grounded in the study of toxicokinetics and toxicodynamics across different livestock species.
