Bionte - Mycotoxins in feed: worldwide regulation

WORLDWIDE REGULATIONS FOR MYCOTOXINS IN FEED

STATUS OF THE REGULATORY MYCOTOXIN THRESHOLDS:

Regulatory Mycotoxin thresholds are mainly set according to the individual risk assessment of each mycotoxin. In fact, global data do not consider the associated risk in practical scenarios where co-exposure of multiple mycotoxins often occurs. However, the simultaneous consideration of several mycotoxins, including modified and emerging mycotoxins, should be discussed to further the knowledge of the toxicity of mycotoxins levels. In this way, synergistic effects, among other possible toxic interactions, would be included in the associated risk studies to define the mycotoxin regulations
