WEB MYCOTOXINS IN ANIMAL FOODS

Andrés Pintaluba SA (APSA) decides to spin off the QUIMITŌX® product line

QUIMITŌX®, a product with 20-plus years of studies and experience in the field, ceases to be part of the international product portfolio of Andrés Pintaluba SA (APSA), becoming BIŌNTE’s axis of work.

The objective, with this decision, is to form a work team specifically focused on the field of mycotoxin detoxifiers and that offers specialized responses to the global challenges that arise from mycotoxin contamination in animal nutrition.

RESEARCHING IN THE FIELD OF MYCOTOXINS IN ANIMAL NUTRITION

We are supported by 20-plus years of experience working with mycotoxin detoxifiers, providing solutions, and this is reflected in our advanced research lines as a company specialized in this market segment. In this sense, we make use of this experience accumulated throughout all these years and we share it with our clients and the scientific community to continue advancing together in a context of healthier nutrition and healthier foods.

Currently, the production challenges caused by food contaminated with mycotoxins are increasing globally. This circumstance is due, in particular, to the fact that contamination by multiple mycotoxins is becoming more common, causing additive or synergistic effects and therefore causing an even more negative effect on the animal.

In parallel, over time and thanks to research in this field, new mycotoxins have been identified: the so-called “emerging mycotoxins”. These previously unanalyzed mycotoxins have been identified thanks to the use of increasingly sophisticated equipment (HPLC-MS/MS), which we have at BIŌNTE.

Last but not least, it is also worth highlighting new fields of research such as that of “conjugated” or “modified” mycotoxins. There are research groups that are working to identify the ability of some plants to chemically modify the mycotoxins produced by invasive fungi, since some mycotoxins are also phytotoxins. These compounds are not detectable using conventional analytical techniques (HPLC or ELISA) and it is for this reason that they are known as “modified mycotoxins”.

In any case, we are talking about a field of research that is advancing rapidly and in which the possible existence of “undetectable” compounds contribute to an unexpected toxicity of animal feeds. It is for this circumstance that collaboration with research centers, professors, researchers, as well as with the scientific community in its broadest sense, will be habitual in our specialization strategy.

We want this website that we present here to serve as a new tool to learn more about our research work, our work in the field close to customers and animals, and share useful information to know how to combat, prevent and mitigate the negative effects of mycotoxins in animal nutrition.

A SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT WORK THAT ENSURE FOR ANIMAL NUTRITION AND HEALTH

At BIŌNTE we are clear about our commitment to Sustainable Development and for us this involves keeping in mind the elements of prevention, research, joint work with external specialists and the scientific community in general, field work with producers and the commitment to mitigate the negative effects of mycotoxins on animal nutrition and health.

We put our efforts in the control of the food chain so that it is free of mycotoxins.

We put animal nutrition and health first to ensure their well-being at the same time.

Aware of the importance of this, BIŌNTE has made sure to assume the Sustainable Development Goals as its own from the business point of view, giving and being an example of this commitment.

A WEB PAGE THAT NOT ONLY INFORMS YOU ABOUT MYCOTOXINS IN ANIMAL FOOD

As you can see, this new website not only focuses on what mycotoxins are and what impact they have on animal feed, but also reports valuable information on their characteristics and the steps that BIŌNTE is taking to advance in their study, in order to achieve more and better solutions that are effective, more accessible and sustainable.

Animal nutrition today presents different challenges to those of 10 or 20 years ago; not only from the point of view of animal production but also from the point of view of the consumer who demands healthier products and greater animal welfare.

This is our line of work: to contribute effectively in the field of mycotoxin detoxifiers, in favor of healthier nutrition, greater animal welfare and more available and healthy animal protein.

In this web page, oriented in a clear and close way, easy to use and in which we have provided a contact form, we hope to answer your questions and provide you with the information you need.

Thus, we want this BIŌNTE website, focused on research into mycotoxins in animal nutrition, to serve as a tool for greater knowledge and the search for effective solutions to mitigate the global challenge of mycotoxins.
