The scientific journal Aquaculture has published an article entitled “Assessing the efficacy of a mycotoxin detoxifier in counteracting Aflatoxicosis in Pacific white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei”.
The study was conducted in collaboration with Dr Eman Zahran‘s team from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Mansoura University (Egypt).
The aim of the research was to demonstrate the efficacy of BIŌNTE® QUIMITŌX® AQUA PLUS in counteracting the toxicity of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) in Pacific white shrimp. The key results highlight that this anti-mycotoxin solution:
- Enhances growth, digestive enzyme activity, and blood parameters compromised by AFB1.
- Alleviates the adverse effects caused by AFB1 on all health biomarkers.
- Decreases AFB1 residues in shrimp muscle.
- Improves AFB1-induced damage to the liver, spleen, and intestinal tissues.
