From May 25 to 28 2025, the 46th Mycotoxin Workshop was held in Martina Franca (Italy), an event organized annually by the Society for Mycotoxin Research. This technical congress has established itself as one of the leading international events in the field of mycotoxins, standing out for showcasing the latest scientific and technological advances in this area.
The event brought together researchers, academics and professionals from the sector with the aim of exchanging knowledge, bulding collaborations and exploring the most recent innovations in the study and control of mycotoxins.
The BIŌNTE technical team took part in the congress and presented a poster titled “The oral bioavailability of aflatoxin B1 is reduced by an anti-mycotoxin agent in pigs in a toxicokinetic study”, developed in collaboration with the University of Ghent. This study represents a significant contribution to the understanding of effective strategies to mitigate aflatoxin exposure in animal production.
