The scientific journal World Aquaculture Society has published an article titled: “Evaluation of a novel anti-mycotoxin agent specific for aquatic species in mitigating aflatoxin B1-induced changes in Nile tilapia: A comprehensive study.”
The study was conducted in collaboration with Dr. Eman Zahran’s team from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Mansoura University (Egypt).
The objective of the research was to demonstrate the efficacy of BIŌNTE® QUIMITŌX® AQUA in counteracting the toxicity of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) in Nile tilapia. The key results highlight the following about this anti-mycotoxin solution:
- Effectively counteracted the AFB1-induced adverse effects.
- Reduced AFB1 residues in muscle tissue by 99.6% after 6 weeks.
- Markedly ameliorated severe liver, spleen, and intestinal damage observed in the AFB1-exposed group, as confirmed by histopathological analysis.
